I used the latest version of setool (91373008) to flash & unlock a few sharp phones; 802sh with the 8 EURO 144 files, 703sh with sx313 files, and 2 902sh, 1 with 133 ferrari files & the other 1 with 103 chinese files. 703sh & the chinese version of 902sh work perfectly fine, but the EURO version of 802sh & 133 ferrari version of 902sh could not use the bluetooth function; i.e. could not be detected.

i flashed the files with complete phone, then press unlock/repair, anything do i miss out here? pls advice, thank you very much in advance.

ok, i had to rebrand a k750i. the phone was 'updated' with w800i firmware and w800i gdfs.

My question is that as changing the IMEI without this error, and if this change is total, because now when I give to read the informations of the phone in any program, the original IMEI appears, not the as amended one, this alone one appears in the screen of the phone.

The old IMEI is not deleted by changing IMEI process, but only bypassed by a routine firmware. So the firmware detect the new IMEI to connect to the network, but the old is always written in OTP area.

I personally think that:

(a) you are in the wrong topic, asking silly questions that should not even ask. Therefore I am not giving you answers.

(b) You are user of cracked setool. No help given to unknown people that just come out of the blue asking completely novice questions, in wrong thread...

I believe that you have a lot of imagination and arrogance. I am not in the mistaken topic, I have looked at all the 80 you paginate from the incio of the one post, and the topic of change of IMEI was much commented, and other people had the same error. I am not usurious of cracked setoon, I have acquired my setoon in December 12, yes I am novice which the problem, nobody has warned before buying Setool that the forum for support is only for experienced person. Please a little more than respect with people.

Perhaps the_laser/Unlocker should implement a new support area login procedure. Using the dongle as a login token, I mean, like NSDongle and JAF. Will most likely kill a few freeloaders. I know the flashes are encrypted, but still.

And what does the future look like for SeTool users? Are we going to need to pay per unlock as in the old days? Fair enough, CID49 has been broken, but CID50/51/52 has been proven to exist, and db2020 is coming. The going gets tougher. Instead of a pay-per-operation solution I would suggest to implement a pay-per-month solution instead. If we need to pay at all, will be cheaper to buy an MT-Box. I leave the floor to you, the_laser.

Edit: Made a mistake. Thought the MT-Box team let you use free server-unlock as long as you own the box. Was wrong :)

I don't think using the dongle to login would be SO useful

after all, encrypted flashfiles cannot be used without smartcard, and also we have a download limit so if someone "steals" an account, (s)he would lose a lot of weeks before he can download all the files (that will still be useless to him/her) :P

about the server for upcoming CIDs, the team is already studying what can be the best solution, and I believe they will give us some "free" credits just for owning the dongle, and maybe the chance to pay to have more, or some other offer. Let's just wait and see, in the meantime let's unlock all those CID49 RED phones out there!! :P

I've first converted my V600i from CID36 to CID49 using DB2000_CID36_to_CID49_EROM_Red36.ssw.cry

Then, I've tried the latest beta since it can handle CID49 phones and getting this error when trying to flash to R2AB002.

Now phone is dead : impossible to start it again !

How can I solve this problem (if possible without TP)?

in your case you only need to :

1. make recovery - your phone will be back to red36
2. now flash it with anything you need

The phone was a long time supported CID 36. Never mess up with working features. You should have tested it on a REAL CID 49 RED.

Anyway, you can not kill phones by flashing them. It is only a matter of finding a way to reflash it with proper CID flashes.

I don't have a CID49 mobile to check. As SETools says "REMOVE BATTERY FROM PHONE, THEN INSERT IT BACK
THEN PRESS 'TESTPOINT OK' ", Have you followed the suggestion? It doesn't mean that you HAVE to use TP. I don't think that you have to convert to brown as this version is supposed to support. So, in case it is necessary to convert, SEtool should do it automatically. (Just like in CID 36 phones).

That $hit, about original and current imei...
Im changing imei to original... Im making just unlock/repair... after I flash it again I have that error AGAIN, imeis still different!
If I upload gdfs and flash the phone, as you can see at log, phone powered on. Shows me progress bar and Please wait... progress bar runs, phone told me Please wait... in russian and make fast reboot, after that it shows only blank white screen and if I flash it again, imeis are different again! :(
BTW, when I check Complete phone and make Unlock/Repair phone unlocks but not make complete... it must be so or it's a bug?

annoying bug witht the latest, released 23/01-2006.

the program keeps crashing.. annoying.
sometimes it just need to be restarted and it works fine.
but this last time, tryed to unlock a K700, and it kept crashing and crashing and crashing.. it just closes it self.

Yes, v11 Stop self while Unlocking S700, Fire and Anti set OFF but still, Sometimes no Problem sometimes goes off when reaching the CID Detection.

Testing V12 now.Seems stable.

After Enjoying the V12 without self-shutting down of software, today I faced the same problem on K500i, many times ending when clicking Unlock/Repair.

I had to use V08.Can I delete V12 also ???

check again you version.
i personally tested 012 version with k500 - pressed at unlock/repait button 25 times.
no single fault.

That is because the file i downloaded in the Download section on setool.net is version 011.
maybe time to update the site :-)

- Add buttons (in a new tab?) for tasks like backup/restore SMS/phonebook etc. I saw this in MT-box, and i guess the concept is just a simple script that reads/write files from the sms folder etc. But it would be really useful to have quick access to these functions.

- Possibility to enter "script" commands directly in SEtool. It's sometimes annoying to create a new text document, enter script, save document and load in setool. It would be nice if there was an input field in application where you could enter the commnads and click "run".

- Make CDA-field a dropdown list, with values populated from from ini/XML file. E.g we can make a custom xml file, with all CDA-values we use. And simple select them from the drop down list showing: [CDA number] - [CDAtxt e.g. "Generic"]

Even though I suspect you don't want to make SETool as "user-friendly" (in lack of a better word) as certain other "SETool's", these features would be appreciated, at least by me. A "code-readout" function would also be great.

I always do that before any other operations. This way I am also safe from other mistakes I could make.

Setool v0.91373013 can't change IMEI on SE K700i. After flash with IMEI patch (cheked in log) and unlock with new IMEI I poweron phone and type *#06# and see OLD ORIGINAL IMEI. Then I unlcok phone with new IMEI again and try IMEI, but IMEI not changed!!!!

With Setool v0.91373008 all OK!!! without flashing (firmware always patched with Setool v0.91373013) I unlock with new IMEI and IMEI changed right.

I have tried all old pic for the Procedure, but it gives me error.

Now I use the new tespoint, and It continue ask for tespoint/Releasing Tespoint = IT WORKS.

I now leave the cable connected and switch the phone on with it still in place....Never had this problem since.

so i can only suggest to try to figure what program prevents it from running - check for some firewalls, personal anti-hacker tool, shell enhancements, etc,etc.

some PINKY_CABLE_4_in_1_SET k750 cable one is not working if you use it with your k750 the unit turns on , i solve when i bring it back to my resseller for him to replace with working one :)

When came to Me when press its Menu button Screen Goes WHilt and Freeze...
So i did Recovery First and Full Flash the Phone...But still same....
SO making Backupof GDFS first and Format GDFS and then again Recovery and Write GDFS from support site and gave it a Full Flash and Unlock Repair...but still same...

Sometimes i can't write file to FS. It just says "Writing file ...." and stays there with no progress (have to manually press "Stop action").

Do you know what can cause this? It can't be wrong paths, cause then it would say that it can't find file.

"disable cda update" only disables updating of cda units in gdfs, which is very slow on some phones.

w550 new h/w , really urgent.. hope fix it asap. latest h/w cant even flash with tp.

go to semc tab,press clear names, select needed main+fw, select w900 as model, press "flash" - when prompted, remove and insert battery, then, when prompted - enter needed imei... be know - it is illegal to change imei.

May be I misunderstand some point:

#1 This version may not work on phones modified by other software. But in general it can.

#2 If your phone dead, you can use restoration file or flash main. When fullflash (main+fsimage+complete) do not touch GDFS area.

#3 For W900i, disable USB

#4 :)


I checked the box disable USB. I am not concerned about phone not turn on, I trust you that I can restore it by restoration file or flash main.

but ! you need to select right restoration file for your firmware version.

check "recs\w900\" inside yours setool2 distibution folder and select corresponding.

Oh.. I finally understand point 2 now.

#2 Any operation can cause the phone dead. You need to use restoration file or fullflash to solve it before you can proceed.

(I am unlucky cause there is no HK version restoration file, I need to perform fullflash :eek: )

I face some problems using latest version 91380010!
The problem is autoignition with ufs dont work at all.When I proceed any Operation,progress bar dont move and leds on ufs dont blink like with previous versions.I'm able to boot phone only by pressing on/off button on phone!!

- Identify phone doesn't work on Z800? (forgot to save log, but it was the "cowardly refused ..." error). Had no problem flashing/unlocking it.
- Identify doesn't check ESL-lock? I had a phone that was locked with ESL, but SEtool reported it open and 00-000.
- When identifying, the formatting of mnc+mcc is a little wrong. It should be XXX-XX not XX-XXX ;)

I unlocked a V600 and converted to K600 with version XXX13 today. Worked like a charm. When I tried to remove '6E0W' from the phone, I got a dead one. Just flashed with rest file with complete phone checked and got it alive again(without '6E0W' in the program info ;) ). Stupid me, I customized with wrong CDA, so, I did again with new CDA !!! Thanks a lot the_laser!!

i suspecting that in that case we have damaged gdfs .

rewrite it with format.

I agree, GDFS has gone tits up.

I normally have full readouts to solve all these silly issues.

BTW, it is only Setool that causes these GDFS issues. If I use different software tools, I do not end up with broken GDFS, I am afraid.

Using UFS works fine.

Reading locks: Detects active lock OK, but read 00000 as operator code. Tested on 1 K750i, and 1 K600. Both of them locked to operator.

well, i was unable to reproduce both problems.

for blickbox looks like there was no any was flashes selected

for swedson, i need more detailed explains, because currently i run z1010 on ufs (flashing) and k750 on com (reading) - no probs so far

flashing together with UFS n COM port will cause both window box to freeze and need to flash again.

This morning I was flashing a K700(Via UFS) and I wnted to unlock a LG8130 while flashing was going on. So, I opened a new SEtool window, selected LG model, connected the 8130 to the 4 in one cable and pressed Unlock. SEtool detected the phone and showed CID 17.. Brown.. etc.. SEtool was uploading loader and it continued for 68 seconds and stopped(No messages like clearing locks or unlock code or unlock done). I tried 4 times and all the times it elapsed for 68 seconds.

it happens when you use UFS and COM port together. it will freeze on certain period. for example,while u flashing during using UFS and open new window for COM port,it will hang in the COM port window.

even if you use COM port alone,it will hand on certain steps. try to listdir with write script command,you will see that it will hand a lot :)

i can't reproduce your problem.
tried all possible ways. (flashing at once phone on ufs, on dss and on 4in1,opening new windows, etc) - all stable.

what PC you have ? cpu ? os?

P4 3.2Ghz HT with Windows XP SP1
