Save / load button doesn't work as intended - eg. selected K800, selected options, files etc, klicked save. Then shutted down setool, re-opened and after load - nothing happens - empty field, the server settings are also resetted. Hmm, in previous than x39 version it worked.

Yesterday I received a K800i locked to 3 from a customer.

The customer told me Just to flash the phone because he already Unlocked the phone.

I told him impossible, that phone can not unlock.

he told me that a polish man told him, to give the phone just for 20min, and the polish man came back with the phone UNLOCKED.

I didn't believed him. So after I flashed the phone, I test a SIM from another operater, and it works.

I have asked him fro the person, but he won't tell me.:mad:

Have you ever heard of operators? That's the people who are responsible for having the phones locked - and also responsible for unlocking them. They have the solution ;)

In other words: That polish guy probably just called the operator, and got the code from them. Maybe free, or maybe he paid a little.

the_laser: Can you make the profiles autoload? When you open a new window, the profile is not loaded even though e.g. W810 is selected. You have to select it again before it loads. That can be confusing sometimes (since revert to red is off for instance). It would be nice if SEtool could autoload the selected one when windows is opened. Not a big deal though.

so if you flash different packs (R1CA langpack into R1DB main) you will get only english. you need flash BOTH main and FS.

In that way it's very easy to see if something went wrong. If rest file is missing for instance, it's not that easy to spot it if you are not watching the status while it's processing.

I think theres a bug in "write script" for W300i in latest build.

1. I click "write script"
2. SEtool log: can't open file "rest\R9A036_CXC1123260_GENERIC_JE"
3. Then filesystem startup fails - it just stays for ever with "Executing CS loader filsystem startup"

Everything works fine when unlocking, including writing the rest file - so the restfile is there - there must be something (a typo?) in the write script procedure.
Edit: Filesystem starts fine also, when it writes custpack when flashing.

Anyway you can add a default GDFS BUTTON, since every time we write GDFS, i got to select it from the folder /frec anyway. why don't a put a Button 'Default GDFS' instead? :D or an option in setting menu, "Write default GDFS" instead?

I see that you have disabled changing certificate of CID49, but maybe you forgot that old W550/W600 method involves converting to brown? Is it possible to fix that?

I like to use the old method on these phones, since 95% of the locked w550/w600 in my country have the old hardware, and this method is much faster, and firmware isn't overwritten (= no risk - in case it has a rare/new firmware).

have just checked support zone and downloaded z550 latest fw files but when looking for america2 cust pack i realize there isnt any cust for that region plz upload

2. settings "unlock after flash"
3. press flash

phone will be converted to brown, unlocked and erom will be restored to original.

it will not work on usb though - and that will not be changed.

BTW: A little suggestion: Could you add a sound when SEtool finish operations? (e.g windows sound, like notify.wav)
When flashing you sometimes do something else while waiting, and it would be nice to get a notification when it's done.

after this phone was blinking white screen, retried and flashing went succesfully, however now the CDA in system info is not very neat, it spans over 3/4 lines and has strange characters in it like squares and many underscores. This was done with PDA update process not checked so maybe that is problem.

maybe would be more comfortable to add a label in sonyercsson tab for db2020 phones since model list needs to be increased and its too long already and also useful for flashing profiles cause i need to flash z610 z710 w710 w850 phones and choosing flashes in many windows is really anoying

Laser's unique solution is other story.
Only must tell you it's working very well, and if can arange some quantity of phones I would come and unlock them myself for UNBEATABLE low price.

This 'public' logs solution is done via usb authorisation dongle off course.

Question though, when SETOOL looks for the phone after it's done it's initial calculation, do you start at COM1 and start searching, or do you just look at the enumerated devices instead? Reason I ask, is when I installed the K790 drivers, they enumerated up in the 80's (I believe around COM86) and it took forever at the 'Communicating with the phone' step - I reset the driver to enumerate low (COM8) but have yet to do another phone, but wanted to know if this would speed things up.

I was posted some of my suggestions for future versions long time ago here ([Only Registered Users Can See Links]).Pls tell me witch one is possible to implement and witch one isnt or hard to be done!
Also another idea from me : Dont auto detach phone after csloader is running in phone,by this future we can execute scripts or vkp patches as long as we want w/o booting phone again and again especially with CID49 where booting time is long,also on db2020 we will save some credits too with this future!

When there is no connection to the internet at the second connect to the server during unlock: at retrying the unlock the phone will be successfully unlocked, but one xtra credit is taken. It happened to me with db2020 (k610, total 13 credits instead of 12) and pda (p990, total 6 credits instead of 5). Hopefully this can be fixed so credits will not get lost.

it IS problem. as models are sorted diffrently now - you need to recreate profiles.

It looks like the program might actually be a part of my problem here: on stage 2 of unlocking, it waits for the phone to come up by trying to open every available comport? This means it is also trying to connect to my bluetooth ports and sometimes messes up my gprs internet connection over the open bluetooth port, because the phone gets too many bluetooth connection errors on the other ports. Maybe you can scan for (parts of) the comport name first before opening it? Doing so you can only open SonyEricsson ports and leave other ports.

if you tell me, how to distinguish sony ericsson com ports and usual com ports.

When work with buggy(usualy new blue, cheap) UFS just decrease the speed to 115200, or as the_laser said check the difference and 'repair' the other UFS.

Notice the same thing. Very annoying...

I think that an alert msg window (something like: Are you sure? Yes/No) also should appear when working at a DB2020 (using server) but box for full db2020 unlock was not ticked. Just wasted one log because I ticked the new box "UFS CABLE USED WITH DUMMY BATTERY" instead of "DO FULL UNLOCK...". :(

that's good to know. AND i had done so.. but wat to do in case of if it is not reverting to previous account. My last account still have 5 credits left.

yes , i tried "save" too, but problem not solved.

full description of problem is:

when we enter details of our logs in setting menu, if we press INFO and then go pda, then coming back to setting we will see that all our server details are erased to it's default.

if we not press INFO after entering our log details, then go to PDA , everything works fine.

FIRST go to ANY tab, THEN press SAVE.

One little thing - I end up always with a few accounts with credits, one or two is good for flashing and user-code resetting, however the logins and passwords are always something hard to remember. How about adding a drop-down box on the 'username' field that has a history of usernames, and fills in the appropriate password and server IP for the username? That way it's easy to 'duck' over to a server with only a few credits for an operation, keeping the larger blocks for larger operations and makes it easy to manage spread credits.

did u know? if u put 127.0.0.1 in the server IP, SETool can do some operations that will "require server connection"

Well Laser, it's just a matter of time, I'm the biggest newbie in SonyEricsson even I have been in this business for some time but, I think that maybe if SonyEricsson open again by mistake their server we must try to use as much as possible that option without wait for the announcement, I have two thoughts about my porpouse...

1. Maybe if we use that option we can get the attention of SonyEricsson and the card can be in "danger"

2. If we have the chance again to unlock SonyEricsson phones I still thinking that there should be a limit per day to take care of the auth dongle and the own service. If we have the unlimited option some people will do a hundred or 500 of phones and that will help to find out which is the bad dongle...

As I said Laser I will be a newbie for a long time and this are just thoughts but maybe can be interesting, I'm the first interested guy in having SETool updated and working better everyday

Mantikor, it was a mistake on latest update. Download it again, it was fixed! (read it in latest updates and news), the wrong versiopn was in the air for a few hours only, now it's working propertly.

eventually SEUS updated also my w850 phone

I don't think there's any risk ugrading "compatible" phones like K800/K610 - but trying to upgrade "incompatible" phones may cause fatal problems

At me both work just fine, many times together ( with Samsung and SE phone(s) on flashing/servicing ) and also sometime SE phone is ported via USB trough NS-Pro box usb hub ... may be there is just drivers mismatching ... at least try to use UST-Pro II with some other smartcard based SW - then you will know what is headache. It's good idea to ask Laser and/or Elco to add component installer/remover in separate application to solve easy drivers related problems.

DaVinci isn't releasing any CID52 patch, you have enough phones contact them and they go to you.

I mean VKP patches, such as enable screensnap shot or remove the recording beep sound...

the reason why there is no interest was because the VKP can only apply on specfic version of firmware, I have a few VKPs for R1BC002_TW, but it does not work for other versions(i.e. R1DB001, even can not work for R1BC002_EMMA), and I can't find that thread??

VKP patches concept belongs to Darkmen and he is now working for DaVinci (read it somewhere) ... I don't think "quick patches" could be found or apply with other tools, at least not for a while.

cid50 "old" phones (w810,k510,etc) flashing was discussed in some topic.
in short - there is old (cid49) and new (cid50,51,52) REST files.
setool2 rest file collection NOT contains "NEW" REST files for W810,K510,etc phone, so you should fullflash them.

@the_laser: In latest release, if you flash phones with customization package loaded (.zip), SEtool will think it's a script loaded also, so AFTER it is finished writing cust pack, it says "prosessing script... Will execute script now" and then Setool2g.exe crashes. I assume it's an easy fix for it.

i found lots on cid 50 and cid 51 w810 and k310 for unlocking
theres no problem with flash patch except for the fact that every phone need to be flashed at least main for work again can you do something to rest files in order to work with higher cids?
and can you make also some cid 50 and cid 51 flash files for flashing phones without patch methode?

There is a little error in Setool.

In LOCKS tab I select country Slovenia and as operater I can only select Vodacom and MTN. But the fact is, that no such operators are in Slovenia.
But I can find the right operaters in Slovak republic. :mad:

I have one question for you. Recently I had recieved lots of order for unlocking Sony Ericsson V630i CID 49 mobile sets. Previously when those sets were not unlocked, most of the functions were ok but when the actual unlocking were carried out, all of the sets became dead. Let me inform you that before when similar tasks were performed on other different models of mobile sets there was no such complications.

I tried several times for unlocking the above said model of Sony Ericsson and in this connection I wasted the credit cards for 32 times which means a huge money for me. Could you therefore explian to me why this problem happens again and again ? And also whether the server detects or not the credit money I wasted for unsucessful attemts on unlocking and flash of those sets?

I want to send all these sets to you for unlocking purpose. Please reply to me as when and where to send these sets. Otherwise I ask you to take the full responsibility of the money which I wasted on your corrupted softwares so far.

why not? I write VKP to replace the path of drivers, and setool support cross CID vkp flash, since I wrtite VKP for k750 cid 36 and tried on cid49, all works!
now I write VKP for w810 cid49 still works, but cross cid vkp flash not works for cid50 w810?

Cross CID only works for firmware files.
For patch, you MUST use for firmware version made patch.
In CID36 and CID49 works same patches because firmware is same (is same platafform also).
W810 CID49 is DB2010. W810 CID50 is DB2012.
Any tool can apply VKP patches to DB2012/DB2020 phones yet.

now we have free CID 52 patch, would it not be a good idea, to have an upgrade CID button (or settings option)?

This would allow us to automatically upgrade the CID before flashing then unlock/flashing.

A box in the setting tab would be an idea , or a dedicated button, because it is clear that if we have CID 51, then we will want to upgrade to 52 then unlock for free.


I know you can use scripts, but this takes that bit longer and you have to turn phone on and off.

Is it possible to skip the "reinsert battery and click READY" on CID49 DB2010?

I mean, on DB2020 CID49 it appears to do that automaticly, so it's probably possible to add support for that on DB2010 also (of course, only when DCU-60 is used)? Or at least add "autosearch" like on new DB2020 patch, so it's not necessary to press the button.

A2 unlocking comes in setool, and it'll be great to implement such e-mail notification system like in DaVinci, which notifies about succesfull or not signature calculations. Some work to do, but will be really nice.
