have you tried UNICDMA? go to setup and choose baud rate as 115200 and highlight custom password using "0101010..." go back to main screen and choose sky im as phone model. switch phone into mode offline-d and if the connection is good, all details, spc included, ought to show up on the screen. u cud tell the phone's gone into offline mode as the screen on the phone will tell you.
