I would like to use bitpim or anyother program to read the filesystem in the phone to find the SPC so i can upload PRL

I am trying to load a cricket prl onto the bb, but I can't get qpst to recognize the phone. Any help would be appreciated. I've seen that some people have loaded other prl's onto the phone with some success, though they then have to deal with the spc changing. I'm not overly concerned with this as I plan to do the manual nam programming before I load the prl. However, as stated above, I can't even get qpst to recognize the phone.

you can use infosoft pst and blackberry dll for upload prl or program, but need spc

how do you connect blackberry as modem mode?

does the set have option for data setting with Usb and Com options if so can choost the same and use Bitpim.

you can use qpst to upload the prl in the blackberry for verizon but make sure you change the min and the phone # before using qpst. that way you can use the phone without worry about after flashing spc will change. I have no idea how to get the spc code of these phones. but there must be a way to update the firmware for the sprint phones to verizon. anyone have any idea?

how do you show the blackberry as com port and connect wiht qpst?

donwload blackberry desktop support and it will add rim virtual port v2 (com1), rim virtual port v2 (com2), you can find the program from RIM website. open blackberry desktop will find pin for the phone and then you can connect using qpst.

i was work on seven blackberry phones and find other spc, although i think the blackberry have more than two spc because i was not able to write prl with the second code, the generic code is 000000 we know that code and we can write prl with the first code but just one time, we cant do that two times with the first code, the negative thing is the second code spc is just for programig nam. i read 4 blackberry from sprint and find the same second code 654321, i read 3 blackberry from verizon and find the second code but is different than sprint blackberry verizon is 000008, i am working in the most important code (the third code) but i cant find yet, please don pm me asking the same thing i dont have the third code yet, i am working!! if that help in something use the thanks buttom, good look!!

no men, just third code can do it, i allready read third code on 1 blackberry 7130e that never was program prl by anybody but is too hidden and change the address comparing to others. i was not able to find others third code on more than 1 blackberry, i think when you program prl the third code vanishes :(:(:(:(:(

Goto the Black berry website and download the desktop manager. Its like a 250 MB file. Thats what I have. Install it and it will make comports on your computer that will never go away, used for blackberrys.

If those numbers don't mean anything to you, you need to start reading.

BTW, I read it at 0x10000000 and 0x40000000 (maybe 0x5.....), and could not find the code. Could have missed it....there are more readable addresses after scanning, but my eyes couldn't take anymore reading after a couple of addresses....

Btw 0x40000000 is waaaay to far. I read that whole area when I first tried looking for the code. There was no info.

If what Ken says is true, I recommend loading the PRL with QXDM. Maybe there is something about that program that does not let it encrypt the SPC after the PRL load. If the SPC stays at 000000, then it should program over the air, which is cool and saves the next user of that phone alot of headaches.
I found the 000008 OTKSL code at 0x10057700 on a Verizon 7130e but that doesn't help much if you already know this code, unless you have a Sprint version and maybe the code is different.

I did the same thing everybody else did. I loaded PRL with QPST with 000000 SPC. I was confident that since the it was unlocked it would program over the air. To my surprise, it kept getting a OTA failure (SPL unlock failed).
I had briefly read this post before I went to the Cricket store to activate the phone and I remembered the 000008 code. After it would not program over the air, I tried manually programming it with 000000 but it did not work. I tried the 000008 and it worked.

Hey, did you ever figure out the address? I dumped my 7250 with UniCDMA and got a 265k chunk from 0x10000000 but can't find what you were talking about. :(

The ##000008 menu doesn't give as much info as the ##000000 used to and QPST won't work with the 000008 code. :(

You have to run the BB desktop software up to where it says "connected". you can then connect with QPST to one of the two "RIM" comm ports (try both). I had to uninstall and reinstall the BB software to make the comm ports appear in my hardware list for some reason? You should run QPST while the BB software is running even though it doesn't make sense to have two apps trying to connect to the same device at the same time!

you keep talking and talking about spc code, but nobody can shere the drivers to connect this phone.

for those who having trouble with unicdma..i got mine connected by changing the port setting to com 1 in my device manager settings...it was originally at com 10 but somehow unicdma wont open com 10....now my problem is..i have a bell bb7130e..anyone with the correct address to read i cant seem to find anygood readable addresses.....thanks...

I flashed the 7250 but it does change the spc to some unkown which I have not seen a method to read yet. Please respond if you do have a method. Once you flash it you will have to enter Nam Settings Manually MIN MDN and SID. You can easily enter this using ##000008 so if you are stuck becuase your phone will not program over the air do that.

Actually what I meant is I read the phone using QPST then added the cricket prL then I selected write all. I use "flashed" as jargon for either writing a prl or changing any other setting on a cell phone to connect to another carrier other than the original carrier of any branded phone. Also I have about 100 of these phones so I can test any method that seems to work if you let me know how

YOu can "FLASH" any Verizon blackberry to Cricket or Alltel with this method at least here in Phoenix, AZ area, no computer or data cable needed at all but I will not give that out. Probably something most forum members already know

I haven't tried it yet on a fully functioning phone but I have reinstalled carrier software on blackberries and it seems to put the phone back to factory settings. From now on use the latest version of CDMA workshop it now works great with blackberries don't use QPST that will jack your spc code.

Does This library work for BB 8830??

I need to know how to flash my phone. It is a 7130e BB I have all the software, metro prl files, spc finders, cables etc. but am clueless as to where to start to flash my phone. I have accessed the cdma service program edit screen but don't know what to change. I also have had my phone connect to unicdma but once again don't know where to start. I have tried to read through several forums but not getting the answers I need. Flashing from Verizon to Metro PCS

Pl donot use QPST to write PRL. It will damage ur SPC. This warning is posted at many places on this forum.

Always use QXDM to write prl.
