I just downloaded v0.91380084, extracted and run the file setool2g.exe and receive the error "Protection Card error"
What should I do now?

Btw, im really new to unlocking thse fone, and there are too much info that is so overwhelming for me... so to recap...
is it to unlock a w950i fone, i need
- install and run setool2g
- purchase credit
- select my phone from the list inside setool2g
- click unlock?

Sorry but because I saw so many other things like rest files, supporter file, etc... that I dont really understand.

i've already read the manual, but I don't think there's a guide on how to fix the error ""Protection Card error" that I got.
Also, the 1st step was to download "Setool card version", which when I click on the link it doesn't exist...
Im not the kind of person who just bark in and ask question. I did read several topics but Im really stuck :(

I take it you do have the setool dongle? if not get it, if you do then take the dongle out and check the smart card conection internally. then reinsert it and make sure that your drivers are installed correctly.

i used to have this kind of problem, but i've found out that the smart card holder (Sim Slot) lock was broken, so smart card cannot stuck there. I melt the plastic with soldering iron and pressed it while it was hot, and thus i dont have this kind of problem anymore

He doesn't have the dongle.

If you wan't to be able to run the software, you'll have to buy the dongle from one of the official resellers.
