I installed all three of the packages at the top of this post, and they all installed successfully, but nothing appears in Windows Explorer when I plug in my cell phone. Windows XP tells me "your hardware is installed and ready to use" but I can't access the cell phone.

I downloaded and installed all these and plugged in my phone. The Found New Hardware window pops up asking me to install the proper software for Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM. What do I do now? Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

I've answered one of my own questions. I have CHMC PST 1.2.0 installed. Installation puts CHMC folder in C:\, not C:\Programs.

You must have USB cable to procede... $3.50 on Ebay
CHMC automatically recognized phone. To use QPST, open QPST Configuration first > Ports > Add New Port > Click on COM6 on left and OK.
Close QPST Configuration and open QPST EFS Explorer. It should recognize your phone now.

To add ringtones and/or get pictures off phone.

-Open CHMC first > Once phone connects > Setting (on left) > System Security tab > Read from Phone (this unlocks folders so QPST can edit) > Close CHMC
-Open QPST EFS Explorer and navigate to BREW/mod/10888 (these are your pictures) BREW/mod/10889/ringtones (drop MP3s here)

Restart phone after dropping MP3s and you're good to go.



Now I'm gonna try to change picture on external LCD. Any ideas?

Anyone hear of any generic firmware on the loose for the Boulder?

I just received my new boulder and I am trying to add some ringtones. I get to the qpst config but it ony shows two com ports. The first is com1 which says enabled no phone. The second is com2 it say waiting no phone. The instructions are to enabe the diabled port but I don't have that option. Does anyone have any suggestions?

does anyone know how to make this program modify the proxy server and mms settings. It seems like about 50% of the stuff is locked and read only

i was able to enable the camera by choosing upgrade option in the pst, but then when it reloads the eri and scr back up items it restores the disable camera menu option. I think camera can be re-enabled by upgrading to new firmware, but then unplugging phone after bin is upgraded but before eri and scr files are written. Basically upgrade the firmware, but dont let the pst re-install the backup items. i am about to do this asnd see what results are...but sure would be nice to have eri and scr.

You can enable Gzone boulder camera by:
-installing the pst, the dll, and the drivers linked at top of this thread.
-using cdma workshop or some other pst, READ THE A-KEY and write it down somewhere.
-On the PST upgrade with the BIN file
-After the phone reboots THE FIRST TIME unplug it before it re-writes previous settings including EFS settings.
At this point camera will be enabled but ESN will be erased, and A-key will be erased.
YOu will need to use cdma workshop or other method to rewrite both: the esn and the a-key. The a-key tells verizon the esn is in fact the esn of the phone. without it, your phone will not be able to make calls.
If you allow the PST to restore previous settings, then the camera will be locked again.

after I:
saved the a key
wrote bin file
stopped upgrade after phone rebooted first time
rewrote esn
rewrote a key
performed an esn swop with verizon to a different phone, and then swopped right back to casio boulder....
My casio boulder makes calls and takes pictures!

if we had the boulder eri and scr it would be perfect.

where can i get chmc pst 1.2?

I am trying to have my gzone for my son flashed from verizon to cricket. i was told there is a block from casio on it and they can't ger to drivers onto the phone.
can anybody please help....my son is a terror on phones and this is the only one that has held up!!!!

Just got a Boulder today (camera feature not available) work phone. I dl QPST, CHMC PST 1.2.0, boulder dll, boulder usb driver 1.2.4, Gzone drv and v9230M15 bin. Just ordered the usb cable on ebay for 3.95 and would like to unlock this camera. Confirm this will work without sending esn swop to another v-phone and back because I have no idea what yer talking about.

So I feel like I'm missing something - sorry to be such a newbie but am I missing the links for the downloads?? or have they been removed?? thanks

Seems to be going into month 3 with no constructive input or advice, can we assume the boulder has lost its appeal and everyone with the knowledge has lost interest. Perhaps we could get a ( sorry there is no fix at this time ) that would indeed be something.

ok, just got a boulder i can connect to it with my pc using blue tooth no problem. bit pim does not appear to support this phone yet. from reading in this forum it appears i need CHMC PST. all the links to this down load are dead. is that what i need to install ring tones and where can i get it?
