there is no way to unlock this type of blackberry with any free program except to buy a code from the company that is locked to, example t-mobile, att, rogers, etc, when you pay online, your code is sent directly to your email account you provide, is a 16 digits code (some are 8 digits) along with the isntructions how to enter the code, depending on the company takes from 1 day to 8 days, and if is generic takes around 15 days, code prize goes from 15 usd to 50 dlls depends where you buy it, is extremely secure and works very fine, cz you dont have to manipulate roms in the phone, I've done it with around 120 units, just enter code and unlock your phone to use with any network in the world.

rlockc and 3gwireless are both right. rlockc post say there is no free software to unlock this phone which is right as you can see the link from 3gwireless. Are you trying to use the phone on US carriers?

plenty of free solutions

people who continue to say the only way to do these things are with pay software, probably make such software and are scared of losing money.

search for MFI and MML guides on other forums/websites, people are more helpful in other places.

just a quick info for incase you do use free software to unlock
will require you flash your phone, use technically "illegal" programs, and almost definitely void any warranty.
also free solutions aren't exactly easy as sending someone a number, and then pushing another number into the phone, so you will need some (maybe alot) of time and nerdy brain power. guides online will show how to do unlock, and how to fix any problem that might happen.

have a great new year!
and to the people who continue to deny that free solutions are out there, stop being so scared and greedy.

When i wrote about no free solution at that time, Ididn't know or was any at that time, now I got those programs like mfi loader where you got to flash a phone, but I have not tried yet, I heard of many succesfull tries but when you want a secure unlock solution I always think to pay a code cause everybody knows the advantages of buying a code, on the other hand, we the unlockers are hunting for free and secure solutions sometimes running the risks, but I know very much when a program or file looks very risky and dangerous to the phones, is very adventurous to say that if u buy a code you are greedy, what I want is a secure unlock way, I repeat I havent tried the free solution but I will do, wouldnt be first time I kill a phone, but risk to do it pays off.
