Hello everyone!

I just bought an unlocked verizon Treo 650 that was previously flashed to metropcs which was used in dallas. I know I had to get the esn added to metros inventory before I could use the phone.

I found and followed Kocoman usb method for esn repair and was able to successfully change the esn to my current phone. When I went back to check the phone using the master lock code the PRL was changed from metrocs 23 prl to 50xxxx or something to that affect. The phone is in roaming mode and will only connect to verizon service. I tried to update the PRL manually with cdmafirmware updater ( I used the generic one and then tried with the verizon version) and the PRL doesnt change.

Has anyone had this problem? One thing I noticed while doing this was when I hexed the backup and changed the esn (it was only listed in one place.) I did notice in the hex editor lots of listing showing the previous number@vz3g.com or something similar. Not sure if thats an issue but just thought I mentioned it.

Im thinking that maybe I have to try chaning esn using the serial cable method. Would it be a difference?
