If it don't see your phone try another phone to test your cable. also you should really try to be on com 1. If you can see the other phone then your phone is damaged open it and look for corrosion that is the most likely cause. If the cable dont work and you are on com 1 then it is your cable..
Process of elimination ..

What difference would it make if you were on COM1 or not? Let's say that you did have to be on COM1 to make this work... How would you change your phone to be on COM1...?
I don't know what it is with this phone. I can see the phone on COM3 (as a modem) and on COM4 as data. But when I try to sync anything it just doesn't work. I know what the password is. etc. etc. The software (bitpim, PC-Sync, CleverCell phone manager) just does not want to read/write from the phone-to-pc or pc-to-phone. I have the drivers loaded which makes it so the phone can be seen...
But another quirk I have noticed is that everytime I shut my pc down and restart it, Windows trys to re-recognize a "new device"... if the drivers are correct (USB data -vs- the modem driver) then it should not continue to find a "new hardware device"
My suspicion is that this has nothing to do with COM ports, but getting the proper device driver installed. So far I have not been successful in searching it out on the web.
"So sure would appreciate if somebody could direct us all to where the proper USB device driver is for this phone"
captainkirks 12-02-2009, 08:16 do you have the correct cable for the 7126 or are you using a standard mini usb cable like the motorola one.

come to think about it. Why are you loading a prl anyways. when you do ota it does this for you... HUM.. Are you taking this off CricKet?
sharpalways 31-05-2009, 00:28 Already worked ..Thanks !!!!
can you tell me how you were able to get the spc code without contacting cricket
thanks
you need 16 digit password to unlock via workshop to load prl. Standard mini-usb (moto, etc) cable WILL work with correct drivers.
pocketdealer 26-06-2009, 11:49 Or just read the following address:
0x0032000-00330000 "with Unicdma"

Perfect, Thanks
Im still looking for Esn Repair Solution..
The SPC Generator for UTStarcomm on CDMA WOrkshop 3.4.1 works for Cricket UTStarcomm devices. Cricket relies on company SPC and they don't load their own at rightpoint like Sprint and other carriers. So just type in the ESN in CDMA Workshop and choose UTStarcom and you will get the SPC. It's that easy. No need in reading memory, all you need is the ESN and CW.
Working on ESN Solution..

Well for one you have to make sure you have the specific drivers for the CDM7126. Regular UTStarcom USB drivers will not work. The drivers are here on the forum. Look in device manager after drivers installed and notice what "port" it is connected to. Use CDMA Workshop 2.7 (free cracked on this forum just search) and select the Com Port then click connect. Or connect with whatever CDMA application you wish.
For further DM work, Send the password or SPC and it will unlock the phone.
