I have the same problem. I changed only the touch screen but with no success. It doesn't respond at all. Do you have any ideas what it could be? I doubt that is something with the touch screen controller. I found that when I remove and after that insert the touch screen cable (when the device is switched ON) the start menu opens and screen responds to some small movements but only "some".
Try to make Hard Reset and screen calibration. Good luck.
Neither hard or soft reset helps(this is the first thing you can do when there is a problem with the phone). I changed the digitizer with a new one but with no success. Connection of LCD/Touch Window FPC is properly connected. Rigid-Flex board looks fine so I doubt that there is something with the touch screen controller(TSC2046).Is there any way to reset the controller? Any other suggestions to resolve the problem? I know it’s a common problem with the touch screens so if you have any solutions I’ll be glad to hear from you.
I can read answers in Russian.
I am a Bulgarian.
For the first, try to check touchscreen with Ohmmeter. There should be two pairs with 400...800 Ohm in each pair of wires and should be NO connection between pairs, until touchscreen is not touched.
Touchscreen is pure resistive, so you can try to get any other resistive touchscreen, use wires (and a piece of flex cable from old touchscreen) to connect it and check.
But most probably, you have faulty touchscreen. Unfortunately, up to 50% chinese touchscreens, I receive, does not pass test.
Thanks for the answer.I tried the digital multimeter and found only one pair. For this I am not sure because the probes of the multimeter are thick.
I got the same working phone from a friend and decided to change some parts to find out where the problem is. The result is..
My front panel(with the new and after that with the old digitizer) connected to the working phone - not responding screen.
My phone connected to the working front panel - not responding screen.
May be not only faulty touch screen.
If the device fell, ring out contacts from touchscreen to IC TSC2046. If are not called that accurately solder TSC2046. Good luck.
Indeed device fell two times but the screen stopped responding months after that during a call. I just check my old digitizer and for my surprise it seems OK. I found two pairs between 400 and 800ohm and the others changing when touching the screen.
So I tried to check contacts, board. The touch controller seems also OK. It needs good solder station to resolder. I made some shots of the board.

If you can see what I can't, I"ll be grateful.
