Changes/improvements made from MCU SW version 3.08 to version 3.12:



- Call and network management:

- Location update related call drop improvement

- Audio routing to IHF after AMR VR playback improved

- GPRS does not get suspended in idle mode in weak field

- SIM:

- Handling of SIM ATK command Send SMS improved

- Possibility of hiding Confirm SIM service actions menu (variant configuration)

- Messaging:

- Memory handling of MMS improved

- If an MMS containing an image and a text of 1000 characters but no subject is saved, the title in the saved objects folder isn’t consisted of a few overlapping boxes and the first few characters of the text. Also it is not possible to write over 1000 characters any more.

- Editing of MMS over 255 characters long improved

- Browser:

- Memory handling of browser menu improved

- Improvement for PDP deactivation when exiting from WAP browser

- Improvements for DTMF tone sending when browsing

- Improvements in DRM:

- Zoom works in preview when DRM_FL or DRM_CD protected image file is downloaded

- Saving is not needed before opening DRM ringing tone

- Support for Camera headset added

- Call and network management:
- Emergency number handling changed according to 3GPP TS22.101, chapter 8 document version 3.16.0
- Improvement for routing tones to loudspeaker
- Call on hold improvement for some speaking clock services
- When FDN is active, it is possible to start a CSD WAP session if number is stored in FDN
- EDGE:
- GPRS Packet Resource Request handling changed to work smoothly with R99 and R97/R98 network set-up
- MMS:
- Attach/Detach Vcard/Vcal into MMS. User is able to attach and or detach Vcard/Vcal into or from MMS
- In “Menu -> Go to -> Create MMS” in Spanish, “Menú -> Ir a -> Crear SMM”, this last item is changed to “Crear MMS”
- The phone displays and offers the option to save the PNG 32x32, 175x65, 300x300 and 600x600 pictures
- The phone displays BMP format, allows saving BMP and also using it as an attachment
- XHTML:
- Image engine improved which may cause some pages to be seen differently to the end user as earlier. This type of case could be a content, which contains two graphical links side by side and now two graphics may be presented one graphic link on top of another.
- Improvements for browsing in certain WAP site
- “Usage Rights List” menu text changed under gallery to “Activation key list”
- Full Nokia PC Suite compatibility can be achieved only by using following Nokia PC Suite and Nokia 3200 SW combinations: Nokia 3200 SW version 04.16 with Nokia PC Suite 5.8x, Nokia 3200 SW version 03.12 with Suite 5.6x version. If not used as proposed, user will experience problems when using application installer
- New offset to Greenwich time in time&date settings menu
- User is able to name/rename gallery files also by using Chinese input
- Setting wallpaper from gallery will be activated without first activating it from settings menu
- Operator Bookmarks can be put under GoTo menu but order cannot be set

- Improvements for NITZ feature

проапдейтил до 4,16. Никаких "Instant Messaging" замечено не было

"updated" - значит обновлено, но у меня и в версии a3.08 ничего нет.
И кто знает что за "a" вначале версии? alpha что ли?
